carmageddon uncut version trouble Options

so i got carmageddon for a friend of mine... it installs nice and easy... but the trouble i have is that after the install, i get prompted to add a password for the uncut version, i type anything and hit enter and the darned thing just sits there without doing anything at all... so i have to close it manually... then, when trying to start a game i get prompted for the uncut version password... which it doesnt match on what i typed... or match with anything at all... (IMG:http://dcforums.co.uk/forum/style_emoticons/default/ermm.gif) since the uncut password exe died i can't set up a password for it... and the game locks down itself to the zombie version... which is the less gory one...
does anyone know whats the default password for the uncut version? or does anyone now how to get rid of that?? (IMG:http://dcforums.co.uk/forum/style_emoticons/default/ermm.gif)

I know this thread is old, but I has this very problem tonight. You need to go into the "data" folder default is "C:\games\carma\data" Locate the pass.txt and edit that to the desired password like 123 It looks like you can't have a blank password, I hope this helps someone else out there.
